Matthew Hassall – spiritual jazz in Liverpool on 1st October!
Music is such a powerful conveyor of spiritual experience and a rare opportunity to listen to some spiritual jazz of the highest order from a northwest musician happens at the Capstone Theatre, Liverpool on Thursday 1st October at 7.30pm.
Matthew Halsall is an accomplished jazz trumpeter, composer and band leader who allows his spiritual presence, explored through Buddhism and Transcendental Meditation, to float through his music with great delight. The line-up features Matthew Halsall (trumpet), Jordan Smart (saxophone & flute), Rachel Gladwin (harp), Taz Modi (piano), Gavin Barras (bass), Luke Flowers (drums), plus string quartet and special guest vocalist Josephine Oniyama.
